No. The phone shows the event details and the person confirms. Nothing is written to a calendar without a tap.
The code uses the standard iCalendar format, so Apple Calendar, Google Calendar and Outlook all read it. A few third-party scanners show it as raw text instead of offering to add it.
A static code cannot be corrected once printed, and anyone who already scanned it keeps the old time. If a date might shift, point a dynamic code at an event page you can edit.
